Indrė Ramanavičienė, a CEC representative, confirmed to the tv3.lt portal that the investigation of the sign hanging on the door was started. The CEC decided to open an investigation at its meeting on Thursday.

In the session it is announced that the complaint about the poster was written on the door of G. Landsbergis by the assistant of an unidentified member of the Seimas. The question arises whether political advertising can be disseminated in public institutions.

The investigation was turned over to the Antakalnis Regional Commission. It is in this constituency that I Šimonytė is running, whose face adorns the billboard.

G. Landsberg office door

“The most dangerous door in the Seimas”

Vytautė Šmaižytė, representative of the Lithuanian Christian Democratic Fatherland (TS-LKD), was the first to announce that the CEC had launched an investigation into the cartel at the door of G. Landsbergis.

“The level of the absurd. The gates of TS-LKD President Gabrielius Landsbergis have complained. Because … Gabrielius hung up a poster of the National Survey on how Lithuania could be stronger. The CCA has launched an investigation, ”wrote V. Šmaižytė on his Facebook account.

Commenting on the situation on the tv3.lt portal in more detail, V. Šmaižytė ironized that this was the most dangerous gate in the Seimas.

“You can probably only joke that the National Survey on how Lithuania could be stronger posed a serious threat to the residents of the Seimas corridor,” said V. Šmaižytė.

At that time, Šimonytė myself reacted to the investigation started on her Facebook account, saying: “To be even more serious, I suggest complaining about my walk in the LRS corridor.”

The Seimas elections will be held on October 11.
