The ministers are also preparing to share views on Russia’s actions in the region, the situation in Belarus before the presidential elections.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Minister Linas Linkevičius and his colleagues Jacek Czaputowicz (Čaputovičius) and Dmytro Kuleba will sign a declaration of the meeting, whereby the parties agree to establish the “Lublin Triangle”.
The aim of the “Lublin Triangle” is to strengthen security cooperation, deepen trilateral military and defense relations by fully exploiting the potential of NATO and the European Union (EU), develop the initiative of the EU Eastern Partnership and support Ukraine’s reform process by transferring Polish and Lithuanian experience.
The implementation of the declaration will include regular tripartite ministerial meetings and consultations with representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
The ministers will also visit the headquarters of the Joint Brigade of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine in Lublin, they will meet with their commanders, officers and soldiers to commemorate the anniversary of the formation of the headquarters of the Brigade.
