SADM proposes to reorganize six territorial branches of Sodra

In the resolution of the Ministry of Social Affairs, the territorial divisions of Alytus, Marijampolė, Šiauliai, Utena, Šilalė and Mažeikiai should be reorganized to reduce the number of budgetary institutions, optimize their activities and use material, financial and human resources in a more rational way .

According to the Ministry, it would be appropriate to reorganize the Alytus and Marijampolė branches of the Fund Board by connecting them to the Kaunas, Šiauliai and Utena branch – to the Panevėžys, Šilalė and Mažeikiai branch – to the Klaipėda branch. The reorganization is scheduled for April 1, 2021, after which there would be four territorial divisions.

After the reorganization, it is planned to change the names of the territorial divisions: Panevėžys territorial division with connected territorial divisions of Šiauliai and Utena to name northern Lithuania, Klaipėda territorial division with connected Mažeikiai and Šilalė territorial divisions – western Lithuania, Kaunas territorial division with connected Marijampolė and Alytus territorial divisions, central territorial divisions of Lithuania Vilnius territorial division: the territorial division of the capital.

The Ministry ensures that after the reorganization, the total number of senior and senior specialists and their jobs will not change, only the number of duplicate management positions will decrease.

The Ministry indicates that the reorganization of the territorial divisions would centralize the service functions (document management, personnel management, information systems, financial and economic management), as well as reduce the number of budgetary institutions, their management costs and a use more rational of material and financial resources.
