“I have no claims against him because our relationship was not compromised, but he is the father of my son, so I would like him to contribute to his upkeep,” the young mother told police.

What happened in a town in Samogitia could be reminiscent of a soap opera scene: A fifteen-year-old boy met a much older boy for about a month. Their relationship, as the two have repeatedly emphasized, was without engagement: sex and nothing else.

However, maintaining intimate relationships with persons under the age of sixteen is prohibited in Lithuania; criminal liability is provided for this. Because of that relationship, the police had previously been prosecuted four times for theft, violation of public order, and other crimes against convicted Andrew T.

The man who recently lived abroad only found out three years after he was a father.

“I am very sorry that this has happened. I admit that I acted irresponsibly,” the man told officials. The police had officially announced their search, although they claimed they had never hidden from the police, but simply lived and worked quietly in Lithuania.

“I didn’t know anything about the case against me, I really wouldn’t be hiding because of it,” he said.

Andrius T. was waiting for the outcome of the criminal case in general: his relatives had paid a deposit of 2,000 euros to the account of the Attorney General’s Office. However, the man will not recover this money: the court imposed a fine of 2,260 euros on the man for having an intimate relationship with a girl under the age of sixteen.

“The evidence gathered in the case confirms that the defendant Andrius T., being an adult and knowing the age of the victim (did not turn 16), in 2016. in the period from October to November with the consent of the minor himself, he had sex with the victim an undetermined number of times during the pre-trial investigation, thereby violating the child’s freedom of sexual choice and inviolability “, – according to the court, Andrius T. had sexual intercourse signs of coercion to have sex.

Defendant Andrius T. said during police questioning that the fifteen-year-old girl had previously been his friend, whom he had met only through intimate relationships.

“Three or four years ago, I remember this girl well because she was my girlfriend, we had a relationship without obligations: she came to my rented apartment, we had sex by mutual agreement,” said the man. – You can’t talk about violence – she wanted this relationship herself. We had no protective measure or protection against pregnancy in any way. “

In order to prosecute Andrius T., the police officers decided to receive information about the violation of the minor’s freedom of sexual choice and inviolability; This information is also confirmed to the officers by the doctors whom the minor requested together with his mother. The mother realized that her daughter was pregnant when she began complaining of abdominal pain: the woman took her to a family doctor, who immediately recommended that she visit a gynecologist.

“When we went to the doctor, he immediately said his daughter was waiting,” the boy’s mother told police during an interview. “So the daughter admitted that she had sex, but she didn’t plan to live with that guy, and what I’m planning here is that she’s still a girl.”

The woman did not hide the fact that there were nights when her daughter did not spend the night at home, even though she was only fifteen at the time.

“She used to say that she was with her friends, that she got pregnant during those stays,” she said, and that there were now only ten, that Andrius T. would help her daughter support the baby. “It is his job because he is the boy’s father.”

An educated girl, recognized as a victim, had already come of age, and she also wanted her son’s father to contribute to the upkeep.

“I met him in 2016. in the summer, and I started making more serious friendships with a boy, but without commitment since October, he told the police. – So we made love for the first time by mutual consent. He was the initiator, but I accepted. “

According to the girl, Andrius T. knew that he was not yet a minor before the age of 16.

“I never protected myself because I didn’t think it could end that way,” said the girl. “I knew about contraception, I talked about it at school.”

The victim admitted that no one knew about her and Andrius T.’s relationship, and he was her second boy with whom she had an intimate relationship.

“I found out about the second month of my pregnancy when I had a pregnancy test, when I told my mother,” she said. “Andrius T. didn’t know he was expecting a child from him. He was afraid to tell him, he was afraid of his reaction.”

The girl said it was she and Andris T. who cut their relationship in November, although he continued to offer to meet “without obligation.”

“I did not agree because I no longer wanted to communicate,” said the victim.
