G. Steponavičius, who will celebrate his 53rd birthday on Thursday, has served as Vice-President of Seimas, Head of the Commission for European Affairs and Minister of Education and Science during his political career.

Graduated from the University of Vilnius and foreign universities, G. Steponavičius participated in the founding of the Liberal Union of Lithuania in 1990, is a former member of the Liberal and Center Union, and later the Liberal Movement founded by separate politicians from this match.

G. Steponavičius left the Liberal Movement in 2017, when he was accused of corruption in the party and MG Baltic. G.
