Attempts were made to save the boy, but to no avail.
Vilnius County Police Communication Branch 15 minutes I learned that at 15.05. the boy’s body was taken out of the water. The doctors no longer had power, they only found death. The Ukmergė police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause and circumstances of the child’s death.
The first call to the emergency number 112 immediately sounded dramatic: a boy was drowning in the Sventoji River from the city side. Men are trying to save him.
When they saw the boy carrying the current, several men immediately fell into the water, but had the bad luck of saving the drowned man.
Fire, ambulance, police – all services immediately rushed to the scene of the disaster.
During that time, it turned out that the minor was submerged in the water and dragged by a current, and none of those around him could catch him or at least look at him.
Divers had to start looking for drowning immediately.
Just an hour and a half later, the services recorded a new report: the body of a minor born in 2011 had been found on the Šventoji Bridge.
