During the construction of a new commercial building on Pilaitės Ave. it is equipped with a stationary infraction recording device, which will record not only speeding but also violators in lane A of public transport.

All retrofit work on the new facilities is scheduled to be completed this year, in 2021. A metrological check is planned for January, after which all meters will be operational and violation protocols will be formed.

It is recalled that the location of the infraction registration facilities in the city is determined by evaluating several criteria: road safety, accident reduction indicators, black dots, occurrence of KET violations due to speeding, lane A or in the presence of a traffic light prohibited. The meters can also be provided during the development of complex projects, when other infrastructure is installed, such as in the Žirmūnų and Pilaitės ave mentioned above. cases.

According to the report, Vilnius also plans an additional purchase of rape recording equipment. Before publishing, the most recent data is evaluated: information on black spots, traffic accidents in the city in 2019-2020. The acquisition itself is expected to be announced before the end of the year or in the first quarter of next year; the situation of the pandemic and the priorities of the city are monitored.
