Some cited Latin sayings, others shared their thoughts, some thought in clear language, others, with many errors, could hardly write. Signed not only by Lithuanians, but also by representatives of national minorities. Representatives of the right more often emphasized fairness or justice, while representatives of the left often emphasized struggle or work.

“Justice is the foundation of the states,” wrote Jonas Staugaitis, a priest and signatory to the Independence Act.

“Dora is the base of the state, so it is the highest duty of each parliament to choose the right hand,” wrote another priest, Vincentas Mieleška.

“A free woman is a free nation. Help women to implement virtue, you will get to heaven on earth,” signed Ona Muraškaitė-Račiukaitienė.

“We will heal the wounds only after we finally win the fight,” wrote Jonas Bildušas.

“Not so much a person suffers in misery as in a just fall,” wrote Andrius Banionis.

“It just caught our eye then. Therefore, the main means to improve citizens: pedagogy is also the basis for the development of the state,” wrote Stasys Balčytis, who introduced himself as a “popular teacher”.

Several other members of the Jewish faction signed in Hebrew, one member of the Polish faction in Polish, the other in Polish and Latin.
