There are still several months to go since the launch of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but Lakeshore Records in association with Ubisoft has chosen to release Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Out of the North, an EP of seven original music tracks taken from the next official soundtrack for the next installment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. You can listen to some of the tracks below and also listen and buy the album here!
With music by Jesper Kyd (Assassin’s Creed, Ezio trilogy), American composer Sarah Schachner (Assassin’s Creed Origins), and original songs by Norwegian musician Einar Selvik from Wardruna, the music is big, bold, and quite beautiful.

“For Valhalla, I worked to bring out a sense of Viking DNA in all music, full of spirituality and atmosphere.” Kyd said. “Regardless of where we travel with the Vikings, the music reminds the player of where they came from. There is a deep sense of community and family within the score, those ties are a key part of this story. “
Schachner wanted to portray the different cultures of Vikings and Anglo-Saxons, a sound that evolved as the ancients invaded, conquered, and eventually integrated into Anglo-Scandinavian society. “In ‘The Sceptered Isle’ I wanted to mix both cultures to foreshadow that history. The lyrics are from an old Nordic runic stone inscription sung over an anglicized religious harmony. ” Schachner explained.
Slevik added: “It is a great honor for me to be welcomed into this huge Assassins Creed entity and the pillars of historical gaming history! Ubisoft has commissioned me to create music that displays and builds on authentic historical Nordic musicality. Through historical instruments, their inherent shades, oral poetic traditions and language, I have tried to create creations that could bring the player closer to the subject and the era of the game. It feels great to finally be able to share the first piece of music with all of you! ”

Here is the synopsis of the game, via Ubisoft: In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, players can take advantage of new features inspired by Viking culture, including raids, assaults, increasing their settlement, building their power, and expanding their influence. Players must forge a new future for their clan, reviving the Viking warriors’ ruthless fighting style with a revamped combat system that includes the ability to wield weapons against a greater variety of enemies than ever before.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Releases on November 17.
