LeBron James changed his mind about boycotting NBA season

The NBA is coming back and so is LeBron James.

After Wednesday night reports leaked that the Lakers – led by James – and the Clippers voted to leave the bubble, there was a shift in thinking, leading to the decision to return to a meeting between players.

Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes reported James and others who were against playing back had realized that it was in their best interest to finish the season and told that to others at Thursday’s meeting. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted that several Lakers are talking about problems until the early hours Thursday after Wednesday’s first meeting ended amid “uncertainty.”

The post-competition will presumably start again on Friday or this weekend. ESPN reported that there will be another meeting between players and owners later Thursday to discuss action to move forward on what can be done to address social justice issues.

Shortly after the reports came out of the replay of the playoffs, James tweeted: “Change does not happen with just talking !! It happens with action and must happen NOW! For me @Ipromiseschool kids, kids and communities across the country, it’s up to the US to make a difference. ALL TOGETHER. That’s why your voice is @morethanavote. He ended it by adding a hashtag of Black Lives Matter.

On Wednesday, three playoff games were postponed in protest of racial inequality and police brutality following Sunday’s shooting of Jacob Blake, who is black, by police in Kenosha, Wis. It started with the Bucks refusing to play their playoff games against the Magic, and allowed the league to postpone that game, along with games between the Rockets and Thunder, and Lakers and Trail Blazers.

When all this happened, James tweeted: “F – K THIS MAN !!!! We request TRAFFIC. SIIK FAN. “

The WNBA followed the NBA lead, and five MLS and three MLB games were also postponed.
