Leaked specs reveal how Samsung’s regular Galaxy Note 20 doesn’t make it to the Ultra

Samsung’s August unpacked event is approaching, and today, there’s a full dump of specs for the Galaxy Note 20. We’ve already got the full roundup of the top-level Note 20 Ultra, but now we can get a fuller picture for just what differences are there between the two, and the sacrifices that Samsung made in the “smaller” phone. WinFuture has released the specs just like it did for the next Bigger Note.

The most significant degradation is definitely the screen. The regular Galaxy Note 20 will have a 6.7-inch 1080p display that reaches a very traditional 60Hz refresh rate. (The Note 20 Ultra is believed to have a huge 6.9-inch 3200 x 1440 display that runs at 120Hz like the Galaxy S20.) On the plus side, the images make it clear that the Note 20 has a flatter screen than the Ultra’s slightly curved edges.

Samsung is also booking the 108-megapixel camera for its flagship Note 20 Ultra, opting for a trio of 12MP wide, 12MP wide, and 64MP portrait / telephoto on the back of the Note 20 that allows for 8K video recording. and 30x zoom. (The Ultra is rumored to have zoom capabilities of up to 50x.)

Even the S Pen pauses a bit on the normal Note 20, with a response rate of 26 milliseconds for the Samsung stylus compared to the recently upgraded, almost instantaneous 9ms on the Ultra model.

The standard Note 20 will have a 4,300 mAh battery with reverse wireless charging, 256 GB of storage (no microSD support for this), and 8 GB of RAM. It may have the same processor as the larger Ultra, but you can definitely see where Samsung decided to give the Ultra an edge.
