Tim Allen “Last Man Standing.” To pull double duty.
The show’s ninth and final season is set to premiere on Fox on January 3 and will continue to follow Allen’s Mike Baxter and his wife Vanessa, played by Nancy Travis.
According to FOX, the premiere episode will be followed by a series of time jumps. Now the two will have a new pair of grandchildren, but the family antiques will be relatively regular, just like the outdoor man walks in the bustle.
In the second episode of the season, set for Jan, Thursday, January, Lennon will reprise the role of Home M Taylor from “Home Improvement,” taken by Vanessa.

In the episode, Baxter will be preparing for the 10th anniversary of her Volog, while, according to Fox, her daughters Christine and Mandy “discovered a secret” about their favorite comic-book about her husband.
Tim Taylor is not the only past role of Allen to be referred to next season.

After a full day, Baxter says: “I was able to play Santa Claus.”

The line is an impudent approval for his role as Scott Calvin in “The Santa Claus” and its sequels, in which he becomes a holiday icon.
Ellen, now 67, starred in “Home Improvement” on ABC as Tim Taylor from 1991 to 1999. Taylor was known as the host of the DIY-centric television show “The Tool Man”.
The show won seven Emmy Awards and one Golden Globe, which was won by Al Lawn for its performance. He was also nominated for an Emmy.

“Last Man Standing” made its debut on ABC in 2011, before the show was canceled by the network. Fox revived Sitcom by giving it its seventh, 8th and 9th seasons.

“The Santa Claus” was released in 1994 and was followed by two sequels in 2002 and 2006.
