Lamelo doesn’t think there will be a 1-on-1 game of father Lavar’s ball against Michael Jordan.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Now that Lamelo Ball is a member of the Charlotte Hornets, some basketball fans are hoping the one-on-one game between her outspoken father Lavar and six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan could be a real success. .

But Ball, who was drafted No. 3 overall by Jordan’s Hornets, said during his inaugural news conference Friday at the Spectrum Center that he “doesn’t think it will happen.”

“And I think we know how it will come out, honestly,” Ball said with a smile. When asked to expand, Ball replied, “Well, I mean he’s my puss and my boss, so now I’m on both sides.”

Lavar turned the ball on his head when he told USA Today Sports in 2017 that he would “kill” Jordan in one of his next prime games. The ball averaged 2.2 points while playing in Washington State while Jordan was a 14-time NBA All-Star and 10-time scoring champion.

“You have to understand the source,” Jordan said in a comment after six months at his flight school’s basketball camp.

“He played, I think, a college ledge, maybe?” Said Jordan. “That’s an average of 4.5 points per game. Really? He doesn’t respect any answers, but you can ask that question because you asked the question. I don’t think he could beat me if I had one leg.”

After he was drafted by the Hornets on Wednesday night, Lamelo said the prospect of playing for Jordan was a “direct blessing.”
