In order to minimize the risk of candidates being infected and quarantined with Corona 19, the entire country from this day until the day of the SAT is operated as a special quarantine period for the SAT. During this period, the Ministry of Education and each metropolitan / provincial education office will conduct quarantine inspections at academies and training centers, and local governments at study cafes. In particular, in the case of additional confirmed cases of corona19 in the academy attended by students as high school graduates, the name of the institute, the route of infection and the reason, etc., will be temporarily disclosed on the Ministry’s website of Education.

Beginning on the 26th, one week before the SAT, not only the academy the examinee attends, but also the academies and classrooms related to elementary, middle and high school must abstain from face-to-face classes. All high schools and elementary and middle schools used as test sites across the country will become remote classes starting on the 26th. Many schools have already switched to remote classes for high school students. According to the Seoul Metropolitan Bureau of Education on the 19th, 153 schools, 67% of the 230 high schools in Seoul, are taking third grade classes as distance classes.
