In connection with the incident of the Tesla fire in the underground parking lot of a luxury apartment in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, a seizure and search warrant was issued.
According to the Seoul Yongsan Police Station on the 11th, the Seoul Southern District Law issued a seizure and search warrant for Tesla Model X vehicles that day. Police said: “We transferred the vehicle to the National Institute for Scientific Investigations and requested analysis as an investigation of the cause based on vehicle defects and black boxes.”
The vehicle collided with the wall of the parking lot while entering the underground parking lot of an apartment in Yongsan-gu around 9:43 p.m. on the 9th. After the accident, the owner of the car, Yoon Mo, 60, died, and the driver, Choi Mo, 59, and the apartment worker, Kim, 43, who tried to put out the fire, were taken to hospital.
The Chaju Yun is known to have been riding in the passenger seat at the time of the accident. Yoon was sent to the hospital after receiving a report and receiving CPR from a firefighter who was sent but died in the end.
Choi is said to have claimed that the car was not controlled. The police accused Choi of violating the Special Law on Traffic Accident Management (negligence in the workplace).
