The government resumes the distribution of “ consumer discount coupons ” that were stopped due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

The Security and Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters announced that it will resume projects to support consumer discount coupons in the fields of entertainment, movies and sports in order to support industries that have been damaged by strengthening social distancing and restoring the economy of the common people. Rather than restart support for consumer discount coupons in all areas at once, the policy is to start step by step in these areas that are safe and manageable in quarantine terms.

Initially, the government tried to carry out consumer discount coupons, various tourist events and consumer events in succession since last August. It aimed to boost 1 trillion won worth of consumption in the food, lodging and culture industries that were damaged by Corona 19. However, after the Aug. 15 Liberation Day rally, the plan was canceled. when Corona 19 spread again through the metropolitan area.

According to the government, the museum will give a 40% discount to 5 tickets per person and up to 3,000 won for online reservations starting on the 22nd. Art exhibitions can receive a 1,000 to 3,000 won discount for both online reservations ( up to 4 tickets per person) as well as for on-site purchases (up to 6 tickets per month).

From the same day, if you make a reservation through online reservations such as Naver N Reservation, Melon Ticket, Auction Ticket, Interpark Ticket, Yes 24 Ticket, Ticket Link, Hana Ticket, SK Planet, you will receive a discount of 8,000 won per person. The reserved tickets can be used from the 24th and are limited to 4 tickets per person.

The movie will be discounted from the 28th. If you make a reservation through each online theater reservation, you will get a discount of 6,000 won per person. Up to 2 tickets can be purchased per person and can be used from the 30th. In the case of sports facilities, if the winner of each card company spends more than 80,000 won from the 2nd to the 30th of the following month, 30,000 will be refunded won.

The government decided to administer the quarantine by imposing an obligation to comply with key quarantine rules, such as limiting staffing, wearing masks and disinfecting quarantine, on facility operators who apply discount coupons and issue discount coupons only when consumers agree to abide by quarantine rules. In addition, quarantine supplies will be provided to indoor movie theaters and sports facilities, and quarantine inspections will begin at movie theaters, entertainment venues, and indoor sports facilities from the 22nd. It also supports manpower, including 450 quarantine guards in the concert hall.

However, three areas, such as accommodation, travel and eating out, were not included in the distribution of this consumption discount voucher because they were still considered dangerous in terms of quarantine. The government is also planning to review the resumption of consumer discount coupons in these areas in consideration of the Corona 19 spread in the future.
