Address visitors by the 4th of next month … Mandatory Corona 19 test for fever symptoms
Visitors to Jeju Island are required to wear a mask from today until the 4th of the following month, when the Chuseok holiday ends. Visitors with symptoms of fever should undergo a diagnostic test to detect infection with the new coronavirus (Corona 19). This is because special administrative measures have been put in place to prevent the spread of Corona 19.
According to Jeju Island, visitors arriving in Jeju via Jeju International Airport and Jeju Port from this day until the 4th of the month following the end of the Chuseok holiday are required to wear a mask during their stay.
In addition, upon arrival at Jeju airport, a fever test is performed, and if it exceeds 37.5 degrees, it is classified as a fever symptom and must undergo a corona 19 diagnostic test. Fever patients who have undergone to a corona diagnostic test19 are required to remain in quarantine until the results of the determination are obtained.
On this day, more than 27,000 tourists and returnees who arrived in Jeju on a flight arriving at Jeju International Airport are subject to special administrative measures.
The province predicts that a total of 300,000 tourists will visit Jeju from this day until the Chuseok holiday and the National Foundation Day holiday (October 9-11).
Consequently, special administrative measures were taken on the 23rd to prevent the reproliferation of Corona 19 in the metropolitan area from leading to Jeju.
If the province violates the special administrative measures and causes damage to the quarantine administration, the province decided to file a criminal charge for violating the Infectious Disease Prevention Act and claim the right to remedy the cost of quarantine. In addition, each airline notified passengers of the enhanced check-in process through SNS and reservation text messages, and promoted precautions through in-flight broadcast.
The province also initiated administrative measures that require the use of masks when boarding passenger ships, cruise ships (including submarines), cruise ships, fishing boats, etc. during the Chuseok and Gaecheon Day holidays.
Previously, on the 25th, a group ban (operation suspended) was initiated in 1,379 5 types of entertainment facilities in the province and 7 direct sales promotion centers, such as door-to-door sales. The five types of entertainment facilities include 781 entertainment clubs and bars, 8 interspersed shops and 591 Danran bars.
The province plans to take legal action against entertainment facilities that violate this collective prohibition (imposed a fine of 3 million won or less) and will also seek reimbursement of related hospitalization / treatment costs and quarantine costs in the event of a confirmed case.
