The Political Affairs Committee of the National Assembly was named “Exemplary Standing Committee” due to the poor performance and the resignation of its members. However, before the last plenary session of the ordinary National Assembly, the individual legislative session of the ruling party was no exception to the Political Affairs Committee. On the 8th, the Political Affairs Committee advanced with the Ahn Construction Committee (Anjo Committee) with the abolition of exclusive indictments, a bill of greater interest to the business world. Justice Party lawmaker Bae Jin-gyo, who supported the abolition of the original government’s exclusive prosecution rights with An Jo-wi’s ‘Canotero casting’, left without hiding his depressed expression.

But in the end, as Congressman Kim said, the Fair Trade Act, which is aimed at maintaining exclusive prosecution rights, went straight to plenary. Representative Bae was beaten backstage and Representative Sung lamented: “The ruling party secretary is cheating.”
The confrontation and the conflict are not as unnatural as the National Assembly, the Hall of the Popular Assembly, they cannot all be in the same direction. However, if the “deception” becomes a precedent as in the current political affairs committee, the consensus and spirit of confidence in the National Assembly may be irreversible. I am afraid that the political affairs committee, which used to be called the “exemplary standing committee,” will be called the “preliminary standing committee” due to the fact that high performance is low.
