A new strain of coronavirus infection (Corona 19), known to be highly contagious, appears to have initiated the infection in Japan.

According to local public broadcaster NHK on the 27th, it was confirmed the day before that a pilot in her 30s and a woman in her 20s living in the capital city of Tokyo were infected with the Corona 19 variant.

This is the first case in Japan where the Corona 19 variant has been confirmed outside the airport quarantine.

Takaji Wakita, director of Japan’s National Institute of Infectious Diseases, told a news conference the day before: “Not all viruses have been identified, but there is a possibility that mutated virus infections will increase in the future.”

Authorities requested close contacts to quarantine his home.

Separately, the fact that five UK men and women contracted the Corona 19 variant was previously confirmed in a quarantine inspection of the airport.

Corona 19 infection in Japan continues at a rapid pace.

According to Kyodo News, 708 new confirmed cases of Corona 19 were reported in Tokyo on the 27th.

It is lower than the highest record set the day before (949), but it is the highest on Sunday.

According to NHK statistics, 3,881 new confirmed cases were identified in the Japanese islands the day before, breaking the record for one day. As a result, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Japan reached 219,000.
