Busan Sangsang (President Yongdo-do) announced on April 4 the results of an emergency monitoring of the typhoon damage situation targeting some 50 companies located in the main industrial complexes in the region.
According to the monitoring, the damage caused by this typhoon ‘Mysak’ is due more to strong winds than to rain. Most of the damage that occurred at the actual site was caused by broken and sagging panels on the factory’s exterior wall and roof, which were unable to withstand the high winds.
Company A in Geumsa-dong, Geumjeong-gu, complained that the damage caused by the damage to the parked vehicle was more than 20 million won, as the outer wall of the building was dislodged due to a strong wind. It was confirmed that Company B in Yeongdo-gu was also damaged as the roof panels of the processing plant fell off and the dust nets were seriously damaged. Shipyard C in Gupyeong-dong, Saha-gu, also worked through the night in preparation for a typhoon, but fences, roofs, and steel structures around the factory blew or fell and damaged strong winds, and some docks. they were also damaged, so the recovery was very active.
In addition, many companies were suffering damage due to problems in electrical installations such as poles and transformers due to strong winds, and the electricity supply was not available on time. Company D in Jeonggwan-eup, Gijang-gun, was experiencing business disruptions as the power supply near the factory was damaged and the power supply was interrupted, and although a report was submitted to KEPCO, the restoration It was delayed. Company E, located in Sajik-dong, Dongnae-gu, was also experiencing production interruptions because power was not supplied to the factory.
An official in Busan said: “Compared to the power of the typhoon, it is fortunate that there are not many companies that have directly damaged production facilities, but as Typhoon No. 10 ‘High Line’ is heading north again , it’s time for a quick recovery and full preparation. ” I hope that related organizations will also actively participate in the rapid recovery of the site. “
