The number of applicants for the 2021 College Academic Ability Test, which will take effect on December 3 this year, fell to 400,000 for the first time. The student re-entry rate has remained in the initial 20% range since it fell to 19.6% in 2014. Recently, the trend has increased significantly to 22.8% in 2019, 25.9% in 2020 and 27.0% in 2021.
Admission experts predicted that the repeater rate would approach 30% on the actual SAT. The decline in applicants is expected to affect the candidate’s college admissions strategy.
