The number of new coronaviruses (Corona 19) confirmed daily in the United States exceeded 120,000, a record.
<워싱턴포스트>(WP) reported on the 6th (local time) that there were 128,000 new confirmed cases of corona19 in the United States during one day through self-counting. As a result, the US recorded 102,000 new confirmed cases on the 4th, surpassing 100,000 for three days in a row and is reaching a daily high.
According to the Corona 19 Resource Center at Johns Hopkins University in the US, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the US per day is 9.73 million, which is expected to soon exceed 10 million.
The second proliferation, which began in September, occurs simultaneously in the United States and is struggling to respond. The health system is becoming saturated with a sharp increase in new cases in almost every state.
The US Department of Defense even sent medical personnel to Alpeso, Texas, where existing medical personnel can no longer handle corona patients.
WP said: “As the number of new confirmed corona19 cases increases, state governments are tightening regulations and avoiding total lockdown measures,” he said. “Health experts hope that this situation will change after the presidential elections.”
CNN also cited statistics from Johns Hopkins University and reported that there were 125,000 new confirmed cases in the United States that day. Furthermore, as the number of patients increases, so will the number of critically ill patients and deaths.
Researchers from Columbia University in the USA, who analyzed the transmission model of COVID-19 in the USA, said that the national response of the US government to Corona 19 began on March 15.
He stressed that if he had started social distancing and stopping economic activities two weeks earlier, the number of new confirmed cases and deaths would have dropped by 59,000.
“It is important to balance social and economic activities while preventing the spread of the virus,” the researchers explained. “Korea, New Zealand, Germany and Vietnam have achieved this balance.”
