In the electoral results
Texas and Trump filed an annulment lawsuit
Federal Supreme Court indicates lack of legitimacy
“I cannot prove the damage caused by the Texas elections”
Bloomberg “predicts the end of Trump’s efforts”
According to several foreign US media, the US Supreme Court dismissed a lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump on the 11th (local time) to invalidate the results of the count of the four competing states.
The Supreme Court dismissed a lawsuit demanding that Texas and President Trump invalidate the results of the four presidential elections won by President-elect Joe Biden, including Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin and Michigan on the 8th.
The Supreme Court said that “Texas has not demonstrated a judicially recognizable legal interest in the way other states conduct elections.” It is explained that the state of Texas has not been able to prove the damage it deems necessary for judicial review.
Trump noted that if the results of the four elections, which were the main contenders for the presidential election, are annulled, then Joe Biden will not be able to meet the electoral majority, which is a requirement for the election. In a situation where they are not satisfied with the results of the presidential elections, they attempted a legal overturn.
The court expanded when 17 other Republican-led states participated in the lawsuit. More than 100 Republicans in the House of Representatives also presented the corresponding judicial opinions. President Trump also drew attention when he asked to be a plaintiff. On the 9th (local time), Trump misrepresented the fact that the victory of Texas and Trump himself was the will of the American citizens.
Bloomberg said: “This ruling could signal the end of efforts to overthrow Joe Biden’s victory in the US presidential election.”
