Quarantine authorities called for delaying or canceling unnecessary outings, meetings and travel, as there is a possibility that ‘meeting other people’ could cause an infection. Restaurants and cafes also requested the use of packaging or delivery instead of visits.
In particular, they urged refraining from visiting their home and family places as much as possible, as there is great concern about spreading them through family gatherings during the upcoming Chuseok holidays.
Jung noted that “it is a diverse type of encounter, and it is exposed by walking for a long time. Also, there are many situations where it is impossible to wear a mask fully during meals or other activities.
He added: “For the prevention of Corona 19 infection, please refrain from visiting your hometown or relatives in this Chuseok, and postpone or cancel meetings or trips,” he added.
