The number of examinees per testing room is limited to a maximum of 24, and a separate testing room is set up for examinees showing suspected COVID-19 symptoms, such as fever, at each SAT test site. Confirmed and self-quarantined patients can also be tested at live test sites, hospitals, and treatment facilities.
To avoid the spread of Corona 19, beginning November 26, one week before the SAT, High School 3 and High School 1 and 2 will also switch to full distance classes.
The Ministry of Education and the National Council of Provincial Superintendents of Education announced on the 28th a management plan for university admissions for the 2021 school year, after consulting with the Central Headquarters for Security and Disaster Countermeasures (intermediate writing) and the Centers Korea for Disease Control and Prevention.

The Ministry of Education and the City Council announced that even in the third phase of distancing, the completion of the SAT exam was recognized as an exception to the group ban.

To ensure the safety of Corona 19 examinees, the Ministry of Education and the council will reduce the number of people per exam room from 28 to a maximum of 24 and will install a partition in front of the student’s desk.
In addition, a management system is established dividing examinees into general examinees, self-quarantine, and confirmed cases.
A fever test is performed for general candidates, and those who do not have a fever take the SAT in a general exam room notified in advance. After the second exam, the person with a fever takes the SAT in a separate exam room at the exam site based on symptoms. The Ministry of Education and the council plan to secure around 5 separate test rooms for each test site.
Self-quarantine candidates take the SAT at a separate testing site from the general testing site.
In the case of confirmed cases, they take the SAT in a hospital or vital treatment center under supervised protection.
Consequently, the number of SAT test labs will increase by 58% (412,000,173) from 21,000 last year to 33,000,173 this year.
Among them, the number of testing rooms for general examiners was 25,000,318, 20.6% more (4,318) than last year (21,000).
There were 78.55 testing rooms for legacy patients and 759 testing rooms for self-isolation.
An official from the Ministry of Education explained: “We have strengthened the quarantine measures compared to the SAT of 2010, when the new influenza epidemic prevailed,” and said: “We will ask each local government to cooperate with the self-isolation testers to move to the testing room. ”
The number of management personnel, including testing supervision and quarantine, is expected to employ 129,000,335, an increase of 30.7% (3,410) over last year. The Ministry of Education believes that teachers and other members of the faculty should also be used as staff to administer the SAT.
