◇ The state average of 69.1 confirmed patients in the metropolitan area … Risk of collective infection in densely populated areas
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the 7th, at 0 o’clock on the 7th, the average number of confirmed cases per week in the metropolitan area decreased from 69.1 the day before to 65.4. Although the number of confirmed patients in the weekly average is well below the standard of the update, the story changes only when it comes to the spread. Also, the number of confirmed cases is concentrated in Wonju, which is about 23% (350,000) of the 1.54 million people in Gangwon province.
On the 5th, there were 7 confirmed cases in Wonju per day, and on the 6th, 4 confirmed cases (165 ~ 168 in Wonju) occurred one after another. There were 11 cases accumulated over two days. Confirmed cases also occur in various forms. The situation in Changwon, Gyeongnam is no different. In Changwon, there were 26 confirmed cases in a week from 1 to 7. The weekly average of confirmed cases was 3.7. In the Gyeongnam region, the standard of increasing the distance by 1.5 steps is more than 30 confirmed patients per day. Compared to Wonju, Gangwon-do, Corona 19’s risk is low.
However, it is concerning that a large number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongnam region occur in Changwon. Changwon has a population of 1.33 million, which represents 31% of Gyeongnam’s population of 3.34 million. On the 6th in Gyeongnam, 5 people (Gyeongnam number 339 ~ 343) and on the 7th 6 people (Gyeongnam number 344 ~ 349) numbered new confirmed cases. Of these, only 5 patients confirmed on day 6 were reflected in the statistics at 0 o’clock on day 7.
The five patients confirmed on day 6 are residents of Changwon and are confirmed cases related to the ‘family of the Changwon-si family’ where the cluster infection occurred. In the case of the cases confirmed on the 7th, two (344-345) related to his family were confirmed in Changwon, and four (346-349) residents of Yangsan were confirmed from abroad. In step 1.5, the number of people used for facilities located in the corona19 epidemic zone is limited to one for every 4 square meters (m²) of area.
Cheonan and Asan, who had previously increased their distance, were prohibited from dancing and moving between seats in five types of entertainment facilities subject to priority management in accordance with the implementation of step 1.5. For restaurants and cafes, the standard was also changed to install partitions between tables from 150㎡ to 50㎡, along with a distance of 1 meter () implemented in the first phase. In addition, the number of general management facilities, such as the wedding hall, funeral hall, bath room, recreation room and multiple rooms, was limited to one person for every 4 square meters.
Movie theaters, performance halls and PC rooms can have seating with other people, and the consumption of food is also prohibited in indoor sports facilities. Schools, like academies, were also limited to one space and one person per 4㎡.
