33 meetings reported by 9 groups, including ‘Free Solidarity’ related to First Sarang Church
Some groups “enforced” even with ban notice
Police “concerned about the recreation of the coronavirus infection …” Turn off the phone and return “investigation of posters”

On the 3rd of next month, nine organizations reported 33 meetings to the police, saying they would hold a large-scale rally in central Seoul on the first of the month. It is known that some of the organizations that reported on the assembly were some of the organizations that had held the assembly with the members of the Sarangjeil Church led by Pastor Kwang-Hoon Jeon.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 7th that it had notified the 33 assembly reports. However, like at the Liberation Day rally last month, there is a possibility that some groups will ignore the ban notice and force the rally. According to the police, the conservative group ‘Free Solidarity’ reported a demonstration involving 2,000 people each in five areas, including in front of the Kyobo building in Jongno-gu. The “Million People’s Innocent Liberation Movement Headquarters” reported that 30,000 people gathered at one location in Seocho-gu and three in Jongno-gu. The construction unions of the Seoul Construction Section of the National Construction Union and the National Federation of Democratic Unions also reported meetings of 500 people each in Jung-gu and Seocho-gu areas.

The police are understanding that some organizations, such as ‘Free Solidarity’, are related to the Sarangjeil Church. According to the police, the Free Solidarity participants were intercepted by the police while trying to hold a demonstration near Gyeongbokgung Station with members of the Sarangjeil church during the Liberation Day demonstration last month. A police officer said: “Some organizations, including Free Solidarity, held a demonstration with the ‘Moon Jae-in Haya Pan (Bum Tubon) People’s Struggle Headquarters’, and some members of the Sarangjeil Church participated in the Bum Tubon “. Senior Pastor Kwang-Hoon Jeon served as Beomtubon’s CEO. An official from Solidaridad Libre said: “After seeing the spread trend of Corona 19, we will decide whether to participate in the National Foundation Day rallies.”

However, some groups are expressing their intention to promote the assembly. An official from the headquarters of the Ten Million Movement for Freedom said: “We are considering whether to request a stay of execution to the court. We plan to go to the assembly even if the court dismisses this request.” Police plan to respond seriously, as if some groups enforce the Gaecheon Day rally, the outbreak of a new group coronavirus infection (Corona 19) infection could reignite.
Posters are also being shared in the online community encouraging assembly participants to “come to the assembly with their mobile phones turned off” to avoid tracking the location information of mobile phones by quarantine authorities. Police are confirming who created and distributed this poster. Earlier, at the time of the Liberation Day demonstration, the two demonstrations held with the permission of the court even brought together groups excluded from the assembly, and hundreds of times the number of people reported in Gwanghwamun gathered in the area. The number of confirmed corona 19 cases related to the Liberation Day rally was 532 at 0 o’clock on the 7th.
