Park Yong-man, president of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, met with Lee Nak-yeon, representative of the Democratic Party, and called for a forum for public debate on the ‘Three Fair Economics Law’ (the Law of Fair Trade, the Commercial Law and the Law of Supervision of Financial Groups). Representative Lee said he would listen to the views of the business community, but made clear his willingness to promote the bill.

President Park Yong-man met Executive Director Nak-yeon Lee at the National Assembly on the 22nd and said, “Because only the words that the government will speak (implementation of the Third Fair Economy Law) are spoken, I am concerned that if the ruling and opposition parties agree, he will go to ilsacheonri. ” If it provides a place to do it, I think the story will not progress from there. “

The Third Fair Economy Law, which is being promoted by the government and the ruling party, focuses on the separate election of audit committee members, a multiple representative litigation system (Commercial Law amendment), the expansion of the issue of regulation of aberration of private interests and the abolition of exclusive complaints by the Fair Trade Commission (amendment to the Fair Trade Law). The business community is in a state of emergency, as opposition leader Kim Jong-in, head of the Emergency Response Committee for the People’s Force, expressed his consent.

President Park said, “First of all, there is a problem with the procedures and methods that are being applied in relation to this law,” he said. “Companies are in a difficult situation where they can live or die as companies, but the laws that imprison companies are increasing. He noted:” We (the business community) gave many opinions on the Third Law of Fair Economy, but the discussion itself has yet to be done. “

Responding to this, CEO Nak-yeon Lee replied, “I promise to follow the process of listening to the views of the business community. I am willing to have enough dialogue with the opposition party.”

Still, Lee stressed, “But what the business community needs to understand is that we think they will agree that the direction we should take is clear.” I was nailed to keep working to pass the bill as planned. He added: “We need the wisdom of the business community to make a path to move forward successfully in that direction,” he added. “Whatever the format, I will listen to the views of the business community and related fields consistently.” Although the public hearing was not officially mentioned on this day, it is hoped that there will be a place to hear opinions from related industries, including the business community.

Before CEO Nak-yeon Lee’s prevention, President Park expressed his concerns about the business community in an interview with President Kim Jong-in this morning.
