Conservative groups were confirmed to have reported that they would hold large-scale meetings throughout central Seoul on the 3rd of next month, the first of the month.
“Notice of prohibition” from the police officer
Police said on the 4th that conservative groups such as Free Solidarity and the Headquarters for the Freedom of Innocence of 10 million people reported a demonstration of at least thousands of people and up to 30,000 people in central Seoul during the opening day.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the police are in a position to “notify the ban” to these groups, but there is a possibility that they will re-file an administrative complaint with the court.
Previously, the city of Seoul banned more than 10 people from meeting in Seoul. Consequently, if the groups imposed a demonstration, the police said they would block it from the assembly stage.
However, there is the possibility that conservative groups, such as the last rally on Liberation Day, will ask the court to notify the ban on outdoor gatherings and stay the execution.
At the Jongno Police Station in Seoul, Free Solidarity reported that 2,000 people were gathered in Gaecheonjeol in front of the Kyobo building, in front of the KT building in Gwanghwamun, in front of the Citizen Open Madang and near Gyeongbokgung station.
The Republican Party’s ‘Millions of Innocent People Liberation Headquarters’ also reported 30,000 people near Sejong-ro and the Hyoja Security Center. The progressive People’s Democratic Party has reported that there are 100 people in front of the KT building in Gwanghwamun.
At the Namdaemun Police Station in Seoul, the headquarters of the Taegeukgi National Revolutionary Movement (national version) and the Innocent Liberation Headquarters of 10 million people reported a gathering of thousands of people near the Euljiro station area.
An official from the conservative group’s executive department who briefed the assembly on the day said: “If a ban is notified, there is the possibility of considering administrative litigation.”
Meanwhile, posters related to the New Year’s Eve rally have been posted on the new network service (SNS) and in online communities. On the poster in the background of the Gwanghwamun assembly photo, the poster titled ‘Again October 3, 2 pm Meeting for Free Law’, ‘Moon Jae-in withdrew. Prepare loudspeakers for each amp-carrying rig to travel without a stage. Words like “mobile phone off” were written on it. In this regard, the Free Right and the Republican Party said: “It is a poster that has nothing to do with them.”
