It was confirmed that 67 students were unable to take the high school teacher appointment test due to the group infection of novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) that occurred at the large teacher appointment testing academy in Noryangjin.
According to the Ministry of Education, there have been 67 confirmed cases from the teacher appointment test academy located in Noryangjin, Dongjak-gu, Seoul. As of 9 p.m. the day before, there were 39 confirmed cases, but a large number of additional confirmed cases emerged during the nightly examination. All of them failed to take the high school teacher appointment exam on this day. Each provincial and provincial bureau of education previously announced an appointment test implementation plan and reported that “people who have been issued an admission treatment notice and are in quarantine treatment cannot take the test.”
However, among test takers classified as confirmed and close contact, 142 confirmed negatives took the test at a separate testing site. Although not in close contact, 395 people who were notified as subjects for the Japanese exam also took the test at a separate testing center from the general candidate.
On the day the virus is believed to have spread at this academy, about 600 candidates who were preparing for the PE appointment test are known to have taken classes in a building. On the 18th and 19th two students were confirmed, and it seems that it has spread through contacts such as instructors. Some argued that the appointment test was postponed due to the group infection that occurred one day before the high school teacher appointment test, but education authorities conducted the test as scheduled that day.
On this day, the high school teacher appointment test was conducted from 9 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. for 6,233 people at 110 testing centers across the country. Among them, 19 122 test centers and test rooms across the country were operated separately for test subjects and self-isolation. Each provincial and provincial education office assigned a total of 203 supervisors in protective clothing to the testing room. In addition, the exam room was separated from the desks at 2m intervals, and examinees were asked to wear a KF94-level health mask and take the exam, education authorities said.
