[그린포스트코리아 박은경 기자] NH Investment & Securities disagrees with the results of due diligence on Optimus Fund announced by Samil Accounting Firm (PWC), saying that compensation for damages is determined by dispute resolution or litigation, not asset recovery against Optimus Fund .

On the 10th, NH Investment & Securities announced that the results of the due diligence through the Samil Accounting Firm of the Financial Supervision Service showed that there is no direct relationship between the Optimus Fund’s asset recovery rate and the amount of compensation paid to actual customers.

Consequently, the amount of the final compensation is not determined after the asset recovery rate, but after the result of the adjustment of the civil lawsuit of the financial supervision service or through litigation.

Furthermore, as a result of self-estimating the client’s asset recovery rate through the formation of a dedicated team, NH Investment & Securities predicted that the total recovery amount could be more than 110 billion won, and the rate of Recovery could be up to about 9% higher than the survey results from the accounting firm Samil.

In calculating the recovery rate, Samil Accounting Firm included the fund subscription amount of Optimus affiliates in the fund balance, but this is different from NH Investment & Securities standards.

NH Investment & Securities argued that the amount of subscriptions to the funds of Optimus affiliates (TrustAll, Atri Paradise, EP Plus, etc.) should be excluded from the fund balance because it is a crime-related asset that is subject to fraud. . In this way, they are excluded from the distribution of the assets recovered in the future, and the amount of compensation that will be returned to pure customers who have actually suffered damage will increase.

In terms of the recoverable amount of client assets, Samil Accounting Firm assessed the salvage value as ‘nothing’ because it is in litigation for apartment remodeling projects, rental housing projects, and FP projects, while NH Investment & Securities possesses the IB work capabilities and the company’s civil and criminal matters. It was determined that it could additionally be recovered through trials and negotiations.

An NH Investment & Securities official said: “As a seller of Optimus funds, we have a great sense of responsibility to resolve this situation. We will do everything possible to minimize harm to clients by discussing with financial institutions involved in this situation.” “
