Hydrogen Energy Network (Hinet) announced on the 31st that it will open hydrogen charging stations at 4 locations, including Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 in 2021.
Terminal 1, Shintanjin, Chuncheon service area, etc.
Charging stations in Terminal 2 during the first half of the year
Hinet, founded by 13 hydrogen energy related companies such as Hyundai Motor Company and Air Liquid, recently completed the construction of a hydrogen charging station in Paengseong-eup, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do, Sintanjin Rest Area on Gyeongbu Expressway (towards Seoul) and Chuncheon Rest Area on Jungang Expressway (towards Busan). I plan to open it. When 4 charging stations open, the number of charging stations operated by Hinet will increase to 10 along with 6 charging stations, including the existing National Assembly and Sejong Government Complex.
In particular, if there is a hydrogen charging station at the Incheon airport, it will be possible to operate a hydrogen shuttle bus, which will help spread the image of a green country, Hynet explained. IIAC plans to organize a hydrogen shuttle bus route through Incheon Airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, the long-term parking lot, the logistics complex and the cargo terminal station.
Additionally, in the first half of 2021, a hydrogen charging station will be established at Incheon Airport Terminal 2. The charging station at Terminal 2 is a hydrogen-only charging station for buses, and it is expected that 40 hydrogen buses can be charged. Hinet’s Hydrogen Charging Station, scheduled for completion in Paengseong-eup, Pyeongtaek, is a complex hydrogen charging station operated by SK Energy, built on the site of an SK Energy filling station and gas charging station. liquefied petroleum (LPG).
The number of hydrogen charging stations created in highway rest areas is also increasing. In addition to the Shintanjin service area and the Chuncheon service area, which will be completed in January, Hinet has also created a hydrogen charging station in the highway service areas in Anseong, Hanam, Yeoju, Gyeonggi and Seongju province. , Gyeongbuk. Hydrogen filling stations on highways are provided by Korea Expressway Corporation, and complex charging stations operated by operators who already operate LPG filling stations or refueling stations in rest areas or directly operated by Hinet.
The hydrogen charging station built and operated by Hinet can charge an average of 60 vehicles per day for passenger cars. Based on Hyundai’s Nexo hydrogen electric vehicle, 5 units can be charged per hour, and the charging time is 3-6 minutes per unit, and the price is 8800 won per kg.
