President Moon Jung-in’s special news on unification diplomacy and security said: “If the United States creates a military alliance against China and (pressures) Korea to join it, (the Korean government) has no no choice but to worry about ontological questions. ”
In a speech at a video seminar organized by the think tank East Asia Foundation of Korea and the US Atlantic Council on the 27th, Moon said: “USA. The US is Korea’s only ally and China is our strategic partner. Therefore, our central axis is closer to the United States ”. Still, he noted that the premise could be altered if the United States and China confront and force an election on neighboring countries.
He said that the US is the first alliance and China is a strategic economic partner from South Korea’s perspective. If the US forces the US to join an anti-China military alliance, this would be an existential dilemma for Korea.
Moon said that if South Korea deploys an additional THAAD (high altitude missile defense system), or deploys a medium-range ballistic missile aimed at China, or joins military exercises like the South China Sea, China will consider Korea as an enemy.
In this case, he asked, “Will the United States protect us?” In this case, he said, “Will the United States protect us?” In this case, China will target the Dongfeng missile at South Korea and make a military provocation in the South Sea, as well as the Korean Air Defense Identification Area (KADIZ).
He feared that China would strengthen the ‘North trilateral alliance system’, including Russia and North Korea, and in this case, China would resume military and logistical assistance to North Korea, including weapons it had not made since 1958.
Moon stressed that it is very worrying for Korea to force the conflict between the United States and China into the Cold War system and to force neighboring countries aside.
Moon’s special report also stated that the declaration of the end of the war should be an entrance, not an exit, to promote the denuclearization of North Korea.
Moon explained that the end of the war was to promote the peace process on the Korean Peninsula (to eliminate nuclear weapons from the Korean Peninsula) as a political declaration of peace.
He said that the adoption of the Declaration of War would not change the status of USFK troops in Korea, and that there is a shared interest between the two Koreas.
He also stated that the presence of the USFK is a matter of the alliance between the ROK and the United States, and that if North Korea insists on the issue of the presence of the USFK, the Declaration of War may not be adopted.
