The Ministry of Environment has been promoting the hydrogen charging station project through close communication with the city of Seoul, Seocho-gu and local residents for the transition to a city without fine dust and a city that is carbon neutral.

The Ministry of Environment hopes that more hydrogen charging stations will be built in central Seoul using these examples of communication and collaboration.
The reopening of the Yangjae hydrogen charging station is expected to facilitate the charging of hydrogen vehicles in Seoul.
As of the end of January this year, 1,719 hydrogen vehicles are registered in Seoul, and Seocho-gu is the only autonomous district with more than 200 vehicles registered at the same time as the number one registered hydrogen vehicle among 25 autonomous districts.

Minister Han Jeong-ae congratulated the reopening of the Yangjae hydrogen charging station and urged officials who were present to do their best to create the conditions for citizens to charge hydrogen more conveniently.
Minister Han said: “We will try to expand hydrogen charging stations early by using public sites in Seoul and existing LPG filling stations and gas stations so that we can experience the results of the Green New Deal.”
