These days, when you enter somewhere, like a restaurant or coffee shop, you leave an access log.

There are many places that authenticate with a QR code, but when you type in your phone number, you may be concerned about the leakage of personal information.

Now all you need to do is type a 6-digit security number.

Reporter Junhee Lee will tell you how to verify my security number.

“Beep.”

A QR code that is taken several times a day when going to a restaurant or cafeteria.

User information is saved automatically.

However, more than 40% of all places have to write down the phone number by hand because the terminal cannot be placed due to circumstances.

Not a few users have difficulties using QR codes.

“It’s better because I’m used to writing it. It may be convenient for young people these days, but it’s uncomfortable for older people.”

The problem is the leakage of personal information.

There were cases where the door number was called and a meeting requested, and the list itself was even exchanged online.

[이민선]
“Being exposed to crime … I took my number and contacted like that, and there were cases like this. So I was a little concerned about that.”

The government has presented a measure.

We have entered a personal security number that can be used in place of a phone number.

When you run the QR code, you will see 4 numbers and 2 Korean characters that were not available until now.

You can write this in place of your phone number.

The QR code keeps changing, but the security number does not change, so you only have to memorize it once.

Since you cannot make calls or send text messages with a secure number, the risk of leakage of personal information is reduced.

[오승환]
“Because it’s not my number, it’s a safe number, so I feel a bit safe because it has a damping effect once again …”

As with a phone number, if you enter a fake security number, you can be fined up to 100,000 won.
