On day 5, confirmed cases of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in Korea bite their tail and are confirmed one after another across the country.

In particular, infections of new large and small groups are increasing the scale of the infection, especially in Seoul-based music practice areas, wine bars, insurance companies, real estate companies, and table tennis courts.

According to the Central Defense Countermeasures Headquarters (Bang Dae-bon), in Seoul, 16 people have been confirmed one after another since the first patient (indicator patient) came out first at a music practice in Seongbuk-gu, so that there are a total of 17 confirmed cases.

Bang Dae-bon believes that a group infection occurred while the actors practiced for a long time in an enclosed space located on the second floor of the basement.

At a wine bar in Gwanak-gu, 20 people were added after the first confirmed case occurred on 29 last month. The confirmed cumulative number is 21, including 8 visitors, 5 relatives and acquaintances, and 8 infected patients.

Park Young-joon, head of the epidemiological investigation team, Dae-bon Bang, explained that the wine bar is investigating whether the wine bar has been operated in accordance with quarantine guidelines according to step 2 of social distancing.

At Guro-gu insurance company, after the first patient came out on day 1, 19 more people were confirmed during the contact person investigation. Of the 20 confirmed accumulated cases, 11 workers, 8 family members and 1 more contact.

In relation to a real estate company in Yeongdeungpo-gu, 27 patients successively tested positive after the patient indicator was confirmed on the 30th of last month, and the total number of confirmed patients increased to 28.

“It was determined that both Guro-gu insurance companies and Yeongdeungpo-gu real estate companies mainly operated telephone advisory services,” said Park team leader.

At a call center located in Jung-gu, since the first patient came out on the 30th of last month, eight people have been added and the cumulative confirmed number is a total of nine, including workers and their families.

At the Songpa-gu table tennis court, the number of confirmed patients rose to 22, as users and their families became infected one after another after the first patient left on day 1.

The number of confirmed cases related to existing infection cases increased.

At the ‘Pagoda Town’ restaurant in Jongno-gu, 21 people were added and the cumulative number of confirmed cases increased to 55.

Regarding the Korea University band club in Seongbuk-gu, two were positive during the contact investigation, increasing to a total of 37.

The first patient (indicator patient) in the gang club case visited two pubs in Seosan-si, Chungcheongnam-do in turn, and further spread is believed to have occurred in these pubs.

Regarding Dongdaemun-gu Wisdom Hospital, the number of patients increased by six and 31 people were confirmed, including patients and guardians.

In the Gangnam-gu call center, 14 people were added, and the confirmed cumulative number increased to 28, and in the case of the Gangseo-gu dance lesson, 9 people tested positive in the contact survey, increasing to a total of 249.

In addition to Gyeonggi and Incheon, Daejeon, Jeollabuk-do, and Ulsan have seen additional cases of infection across the country.

Regarding the nursing home in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, after the first confirmed cases came out the day before, an additional 19 cases were confirmed and the cumulative number of confirmed cases increased to 20. Among the confirmed cases, there were 20 households elderly, 3 workers and 2 families.

At Soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital in Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, four were added and 25 have been confirmed so far.

A total of 16 people tested positive for Saesomang Church in Deokjin-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeonbuk.

Bang Dae-bon believes that the outreach to church members took place in small groups of workplaces and youth at church and in bazaars.

In addition, the cumulative number of pub-related confirmed cases in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon increased to 40, and 7 were added in the case of Jang’s oral practice in Busan and Ulsan, thus 177 people have been confirmed.

Since last October, a large number of confirmed patients have been confirmed in Japan and the government has conducted regular inspections for vulnerable facilities such as nursing hospitals, nursing facilities and daytime facilities across the country.

Of the 6,573 new confirmed cases that occurred from the 22nd of last month to today, the number of cases under investigation of the route of infection was 1.75, which represents 16.4% of the total. This is a slight increase compared to the previous day (15.8%).
