While her mother was away from home, she was constantly trying to prepare food in the kitchen and wanted to help a brother from elementary school in Incheon who was seriously injured in setting fire.

The Haksan Nanum Foundation, which is accepting requests for donations designated in support of primary school siblings, announced on the 19th that a donation of 30 million won from about 100 people had been raised over three days from 16-18. Donors they asked to use it for elementary school siblings and paid from 10,000 won to 10 million won. Some donors are reported to have expressed their intention to continue supporting elementary school siblings in lieu of one-time donations.

A foundation official said: “Yesterday I reached 100 inquiries calls per day. There are many email inquiries and we plan to ensure that the donation can be used exclusively for primary school siblings.

Elementary school student A (10) and his younger brother, B (8), were seriously injured in a fire on the second floor of a four-story villa in Yonghyeon 3-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon on the morning of 14.

Group A suffered a third degree burn on 40% of the whole body, and Group B suffered a first degree burn on 5% of the whole body and is being hospitalized in a burn hospital in Seoul. The brothers are said to drink a great deal of toxic gas during the fire, which has damaged organs, making it difficult to breathe.

The fire authorities estimate that the brothers, who had not regained consciousness until the day before, could not go to school due to the reproliferation of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) and accidentally set fire while trying to fix meals at home .

Brother A’s mother, C (30), who was not at home at the time of the fire, is known to be caring for the children while visiting the hospital. The police previously sent Mr. C to the prosecution last month on charges of neglect and abuse of children (violation of the Child Welfare Act).

Group A siblings and Mr. C were found to be living on 1.4 million to 1.6 million won per month on behalf of supply and demand expenses and self-sufficient labor expenses.
