A fiery Annie arrives with the spark of a young man who wanted to change the world. It’s ‘Tae-il’.
On the morning of the 9th, director Hong Joon-pyo told the story of Jeon Tae-il, who dedicated herself to workers’ rights at the online production briefing for ‘Tae-il’ (Director Hong Joon -pyo, produced by Myung Film). Rather than being a symbol of animation work, we wanted to instill the appearance of Taeil, who is like a younger brother aged 20, 21 or older.
I’m doing an animation that talks a little more about Taeil. ”
Director Hong said, “When I received the proposal for the first time, it was a big burden” and “I thought a lot about the story and the kind of story I could tell.”
“The first thing I did after receiving the scenario was to find the Labor Standards Act at that time. There are improvements, but I was surprised to find that the large frame was no different. I wanted to reinterpret it from the perspective of a worker, and I wanted to highlight the image of Taeil, as a friend.
He said, “At that time, there were many difficulties in noticing the appearance at that time. I wanted to make it vivid and real. It is important to capture the realistic stories of the characters, but to make you feel that you are entering that era while watching the animation, it was very difficult to express yourself as if you were in that space while looking for data one by one about the space at that time. I did a lot of research on the data. ”
Jang Dong-yoon, who was in charge of the lead role, said, “It is significant to be in a meaningful position before the 50th anniversary of Jeon Tae-il’s death.” “While participating in this movie, I read Jeon Tae-il’s peace. “I was impressed by the warm heart of looking around me and caring for people rather than my own difficulties, even in difficult and extreme situations.”
At the same time, he said: “It is an honor to participate in a play that represents a person who can be recorded in modern history. Thank you.”
He added, “Because Jeon Tae-il was from Daegu. I am also from Daegu. It was definitely helpful on the emotional side, like writing in dialect. It wasn’t strange,” he added, raising expectations.
Yeom Hye-ran, who challenged the voice acting of Jeon Tae-il’s mother, Ms. Lee So-sun, said, “I was honored and happy to receive the first offer, but it was a burden.” “It’s nice to be able to participate in work that a lot of people are really involved in. I can think of that.”
“In fact, I didn’t know much about Ms. So-sun Lee. I took this opportunity to look for a book. I suffered a lot like our mothers,” she said. “I was the one who supported, believed and loved Tae-il, a trustworthy and warm young man. It contains stories before I lived as a mother of a worker. I acted with my warm mother in mind,” she explained.
Regarding Dongyoon Jang, who was in tune with his breathing, “I was an actor that I generally like, but I have a selfish feeling that I want to lengthen the recording after too short a meeting. When I was offered a role, I was worried. how could he act because he was a real person. Dongyoon Jang is basically a warm and strong character. It was easy to act together because of the feeling of “.”
‘Tae-Il’ is an animated film about the story of Jeon Tae-il, a young man who fought ardently to change the market for peace and unfair working conditions in 1970. An animated feature film project prepared by Myung Film and the Jeon Tae-il Foundation before Jeon Tae-il’s 50th anniversary. Actors Jang Dong-yoon, Jin Seon-gyu, Yeom Hye-ran, Kwon Hae-hyo, and Park Cheol-min were in charge of the dubbing.
“Myung Film” executive director Jae-myeong Shim, who lost his luck saying “a story I wanted to do once,” said, “I made an animation of Jeon Tae-il’s life as an exceptionally long animation after ‘Hen Out of the Madang’. It could be produced with the help of many people. I will do my best so that this film can impress many generations, “he said.
President Jeon Tae-il said, “It is an honor to co-produce Myung Film and ‘Tae-il’. I think this project was possible because there were all the workers and people who followed Tae-il Jeon.” “I hope he receives strength and comfort now that he is tired of Corona 19 to the end.”
Kwon Hae-hyo said, “I first started production in 2018 and it took more than two years. I only participated in a small part of the time. ”Jeon Tae-il’s mother, Ms. Lee So-sun, lived and visited her often during her life.
He played the role of the president of La Paz, Mayor Hanmisa in the play, “He is the author of that time, but he is also a victim of the same time.” ”He expressed affection.
Along with this, he joked and laughed, saying, “When I first received the offer, I knew that title, ‘I’m not Jeon Tae-il.’
‘Tae-il’ aims to be released in the first half of the following year.
