Horror mask instead of party, ‘Zipcock Halloween’ won’t go to Itaewon

Quarantine authorities said 100,000 youths gathered in front of Itaewon or Hongdae in Seoul each year during the Halloween season, urging them to adhere to quarantine rules to prevent group infections.

In this atmosphere, party supply companies are making efforts to prevent the spread of Corona 19 during the Halloween period by launching ‘Halloween Horror Masks’ and ‘Halloween Home Party Supplies’, while some local governments plan ‘parties not face to face’.

‘An item that allows you to have a safe and scary Halloween day.’ This is a mask ad on a party supply company’s website. This company introduced this by selling ‘Joker’s Mask’ and ‘Dracula’s Mask’. Other companies are also selling multi-patterned masks, saying, “Wear horror masks instead of Halloween make-up to make the atmosphere look good.” Kim Seung-il (29), an office worker who bought a horror mask, said: “I bought a horror mask to create a Halloween atmosphere even at home.”

Everland and Seoulland, which host annual Halloween events, also planned festivals this year with masks. Seoul Land has held the ‘Moon Mask Party’ since mid-September. This party was allowed to enter after placing a face film with a monster pattern on the mask. Everland is holding an event that offers Halloween masks to visitors who purchase ‘Halloween Package’ tickets. Mask maker WellKips also hosted an event to make Halloween-appropriate drawings on the mask and post them on social media.

The ‘non-face to face Halloween event’ is also a new look in the Crown 19 era. Pyeongtaek city, which held a Halloween event near the US military base in Pyeongtaek every year, will hold the Broom Corner ‘from the 26th. Participants post photos taken in their Halloween costumes at home, and the city of Pyeongtaek will select and award the best work among them. Additionally, there were social media posts that they were recruiting participants for the ZOOM Halloween party. It’s a way to dress up at home, meet online, and spend time together.

Meanwhile, the Defense Countermeasures Headquarters is located in Itaewon, Hongdae, Konkuk University, Gangnam Station, Gyodae Station, Sinchon Station, Incheon Bupyeong and Seomyeon, Busan during the late night of the weekend (10 pm- 3 am) until Halloween on the 31st.
