As the corona group infection, led by the Itaewon Club in Seoul, spread across the country, Gyeongnam province issued an administrative order on the 11th that includes the obligation to report and inspections for Itaewon visitors at the Province. The order is based on the Infectious Disease Management and Prevention Act.

Applicable people are those who have had an address in Gyeongnam from April 24 to May 6, who entered an entertainment center (club, pub, etc.) in Itaewon, Seoul, or had a job or other connection.

If you fall within the scope of an administrative order, you must report it to a public health center and undergo a crown test. The government will pay for the inspection if the inspection is done after voluntary notification.

In case of violating the reporting obligation or administrative inspection order, fines of up to 2 million won may be imposed depending on the infectious disease prevention method. Also, if it leads to a crown diagnosis in the future, you will be charged the right to reimburse the cost of the treatment as well as the cost of compensation incurred.

This is an unavoidable measure to prevent further community spread as the number of crown cases around the Itaewon Club increases, Gyeongnam-do said.

Gyeongnam Governor Kim Kyung-soo said: “Many of the residents who have been to Itaewon during that period are being screened for their detection.” “A diagnostic test is to protect the life and safety of my neighbor and myself. Those under administrative order are required to undergo diagnostic tests.”

Previously, Gyeongnam province issued an order to ban the collective gathering of 71 club-type entertainment facilities in Tokyo. The period is two weeks to the 24th. Gyeongnam-do plans to increase the period of the administrative order and increase the level of response (expanding the target for administrative orders) in stages depending on the situation of the crown.

In Gyeongnam, there are no confirmed players related to the Seoul Itaewon Club. However, the number of club-related contacts continues to increase. At 10 pm on the 11th, there were 19 visitors to the Itaewon Club. All of these were negative in the crown test.
