The American Recording Academy, which is home to the Grammy Awards, announced the nominations this morning.
Group BTS was named in the ‘Best Pop Duo / Group Performance’ section.
This is the first time in the history of Korean popular music.
‘Best Pop Duo / Group Performance’ is one of the detailed awards for the Grammy Pop genre, and was recently established at the 2012 awards ceremony.
The nominations for this part with BTS are the prominent names in the American pop music industry with 4 teams including Justin Bieber and Quaibo’s ‘Intensions’ and Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s ‘Rain on Me’.
Although it is not the fourth major award, it is a genre, it has never been nominated for an Asian singer as one of the important parts of the Grammys.
