Eight families in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, were confirmed to be infected with coronavirus. One of them was estimated to be related to the Rehabilitation Hospital of Sinchon Severance Hospital in Seoul, but the order of infection has not yet been clearly identified.

According to Goyang-si etc., Mr. A in his 40s in Sik-dong, Ilsan-dong-gu, who was confirmed with coronavirus on the same day, is believed to be a hospital-related corona patient Shinchon Severance Hospital rehabilitation center. Corona symptoms such as cough and sore throat appeared from day 6.

Two 50-year-old patients in Sik-dong, Ilsan-dong-gu (patient 322 in Goyang-si), 50 in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul (patients 324 and 325 in Goyang-si) and two patients 60 years in Deogyang-gu, Goyang-si (326/327 patients in Goyang-si) Identified as a family relationship with Mr. A.

It is reported that they recently had a family reunion with their 20s (patient 315 in Goyang-si) in Hyeoncheon-dong, Deokyang-gu, who tested positive for corona the day before. Among these families, the first person to develop corona symptoms was Mr. A. The infection was probably the fastest.

Goyang-si calculated the route of infection with Mr. A to Shinchon Severance Hospital. An indicator patient (the first confirmed patient in an infection group) occurred on day 9 at this hospital. However, it was not known if Mr. A had coronavirus in the hospital or if he transmitted the corona to the hospital.

According to quarantine authorities, there were 29 confirmed cases related to Severance Hospital as of 12 p.m. that day. Among hospital workers, a medical staff and 16 other employees contracted the coronavirus, and two patients and 10 family members and caregivers were infected. The confirmed cases of relatives in Goyang City that occurred that day were not included in the statistics.

Meanwhile, at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Sinchon Severance Hospital, the results of a total examination of 854 patients, guardians and faculty members were confirmed negative. Consequently, the hospital has resumed operations like treatment and treatment from this day.
