“When the heck will free flu shots resume?”
Since free vaccines were stopped last month due to cold exposure to the flu vaccine, the government has been unable to establish a resumption schedule until now. Citizen anxiety is also growing amid concerns about the ‘Twindemic’ in which Corona 19 and the flu are simultaneously an epidemic.
According to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the 4th, it has been two weeks since the flu vaccine-free vaccination program was completely stopped on the 22nd of last month, but the overall plan to resume vaccination has not been prepared so far.

Vaccination plan for students, the elderly, etc. ‘Undecided’
Concerns grow over simultaneous coronavirus and flu infection
市 “KCDC guidelines will be posted soon”
Previously, the flu vaccine business came to a complete halt last month when some flu vaccines were exposed to room temperature during distribution.
The Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is conducting an investigation after collecting all the flu vaccines in question. The vaccine in question is the volume of national purchase. After the investigation is completed, a plan is expected to resume vaccination in the future.
However, there are currently free vaccines available for some under 12 and pregnant women. The vaccines that are vaccinated are not purchased from the country exposed to room temperature, but from other companies. Each medical institution individually purchases a vaccine and then charges the public health center.
As the resumption schedule was not published for a long time after exposure to room temperature, the anxiety of high school parents and the elderly who were targeted for vaccination as of the 5th of this month is growing.
In the first place, free flu vaccination was scheduled for secondary school students from 13 to 15 years of age from 5th grade and from primary school from 7 to 12 years from 19. In addition, vaccines were available from day 13 for those over 75 years , 20 for those from 70 to 74 years old and 27 for those from 62 to 69 years old.
They are nervous when flu vaccination has been delayed in a situation where the flu and Corona 19 can simultaneously be a pandemic. In particular, they are concerned that they will not be able to receive the vaccine in time due to insufficient vaccinations due to the aftermath of exposure to room temperature.
Father Lee Mo (44, Haeundae-gu) said: “My son, who became a high school student this year, has been vaccinated every year. I’m worried about getting infected, so I’m thinking about comparing it to private spending. “
Mr. Kim (65), who drives a private taxi, said: “There is a risk of transmission to clients, so I hope the country will set the vaccination date as soon as possible.”
In this regard, a Busan city official said: “We are awaiting the schedule to resume flu vaccination at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.”
Meanwhile, a total of 2303 people nationwide are known to have been vaccinated with the vaccine exposed to room temperature. Initially, the Agency for Disease Control and Prevention said there were no vaccines in question immediately after stopping use of the vaccine, but it is steadily increasing. The regions where the inoculation came out are 15 cities and provinces nationwide excluding Gangwon and Ulsan.
By region, Gyeonggi is the most with 673, with 361 in Gwangju, 326 in Jeonbuk, 109 in Busan and 14 in Gyeongnam.
