Immediately after the resumption of the plenary session, the Democratic Party presented an agreement to end the unlimited debate with 176 members of the National Assembly.
As the situation of the reproliferation of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) is urgent, the position of the Democratic Party is to cooperate with the response at the National Assembly level to respond to the quarantine.
It is estimated that the Democratic Party has already secured the vote of more than three-fifths (180) of the registered legislators, a quorum that can force an unlimited debate to end.
Currently, there are 174 seats for the Democratic Party, but 173 seats are excluded, except for Chung Jeong-soon, who was imprisoned. 177 seats will be secured by adding Rep. Lee Sang-jik Kim Hong-geol, who left the Democratic Party, and Rep. Yong-ho Lee Yong-ho, a passport-oriented independent member. Additionally, an estimated 181 seats have been secured as small opposition parties, including three open Democratic parties and one Basic Income party, also revealed their intention to cooperate in the closing vote.
The National Assembly is expected to vote if the obstructionism ends on the afternoon of the 13th, 24 hours later. When the debate ends with the approval of more than 180 people, the NIS resolution process proceeds immediately.
In this regard, the power of the people accused the ruling party of overturning its position to guarantee the right of opposition.
