CBS, possible suspects of residents in their 60s
The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) searched the home of a suspect in an explosion in Nashville, Tennessee, on Christmas Day.
According to the Associated Press on the 26th (local time), federal investigators identified a suspect related to the Nashville explosion that day and searched the home associated with the person.
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) special investigator Jason Pack said several federal and local agency investigators had obtained information related to the investigation from his home in Antioch, a Nashville suburb. Another official who requested anonymity said investigators considered the person they were looking for in the house a suspect in the blast.
CBS broadcast citing anonymous officials and reported that 63-year-old Anthony Quinn Warner, who lives in Nashville, was a suspect associated with the blast. Warner had a recreational car similar to the one identified at the scene of the blast, CBS said.
The 2019 Google Street View house image shows what appears to be a white recreational car in the driveway, Reuters reported. Neighbors told local television that the car had been parked for years but is now gone, Reuters added. The Washington Post also reported that an old online photo taken at home shows a brightly colored pleasure car parked in the backyard similar to the one that exploded the day before. But sources said investigators were still tracking down many leads and evidence, WP added. An FBI spokesman said: “We will examine the evidence and everything we recovered from the residence and see how it fits into the investigation.”
FBI Memphis Special Investigator Douglas Coneskey said today at a news conference that he is looking for more than 500 leads and investigating many people who may have been related to the blast. Authorities said no additional explosive devices were found.
A parked RV exploded in downtown Nashville early in the morning on Christmas Eve. The remains were found at the scene and three people were taken to the hospital. Firefighters said the three were hospitalized with relatively minor injuries and were in stable condition, Reuters said. Authorities are investigating that there is a high possibility of an explosion due to deliberate actions rather than a simple accident.
