Yoon, who served 20 years in prison and probation in 2009, submitted a request for reconsideration in November last year after Lee Chun-jae’s confession to the crime, and the court accepted it in January this year and decided to initiate a new trial. During the trial, both the prosecution and the lawyers requested Lee Chun-jae as a witness and the court accepted him.
It was 34 years from September 1986, when he confessed to the first serial murder case, and 32 years since September 1988, when Lee Chun-jae appeared in court.
