On the 26th, a week before National Foundation Day, a “car parade” rally was held in various locations in central Seoul. The civic group ‘National Movement for a New Korea (New Korea)’ organized to urge the resignation of Justice Minister Chu Mi-ae and to condemn the government’s anti-crazy policy. Approximately 40 vehicles participated in the Car Parade demonstration that day. The new South Korean part has announced a demonstration of about 200 car parades on October 3, the first day of the year.

Those who participated in the Car Parade protests placed a flag on their vehicle that read ‘Chu Mi-ae resign.’ There was also an attachment that read: ‘I’m sorry my mother wasn’t Chu Mi-ae’, ‘Chou Mi-ae resigns’, ‘The military disorder that breaks the law’. There were not many vehicles participating in the parade in each section, so there was no traffic congestion.
The new Korea held demonstrations of similar vehicles a week ago. The police approved the assembly considering the fact that the vehicles do not enter the center of Seoul. However, vehicle demonstrations are also considered rallies, and participation of more than 10 vehicles is prohibited.
The new Korea is planning to hold a vehicle demonstration involving 200 vehicles on the opening day. However, the government plans to not allow it due to concerns about the crown’s spread and traffic jams. Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun said, “I will not tolerate the Gwanghwamun assembly on the first day of foundation in any way.” Police Commissioner Kim Chang-ryong has announced that he will block the entry of protesters in vehicles into central Seoul by operating a “triple checkpoint.” Saean-guk plans to file a lawsuit against the ban on meeting at the Seoul Administrative Court.
