Group Bulletproof Boy Scouts (BTS) reached No. 1 and No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Singles Chart ‘Hot 100’ in the US and made another great record.
Billboard announced on the 12th (local time) that Josh 685 and Jason Derulo, and BTS’s version of the remix ‘Savage Love’, were ranked No. 1 on the latest Hot 100 chart. Second place was taken by BTS ” Dynamite ‘ , which is at the top of the list for the seventh week after launch.
Hot 100 is a list that ranks the most popular songs in the United States each week. It ranks the streaming performance, the sales volume of the music sources, and the number of radio streams.
With this, BTS created their second song Hot 100 No. 1, and at the same time placed two songs next to each other on Billboard No. 1 and 2. According to Billboard, the first and second places on the Hot 100 are the first groups since Black Eyed Peas’ ‘Boom Boom Pow”Aigata Peeling’ in June-July 2009. Besides BTS and Black Eyed Peas, there are only five teams in the duo or group with such a record: Outcast (2003-2004) , Business (1978) and The Beatles (1964).
‘Savage Love’ is a song that adds the voice of American singer Jason Derulo to ‘Laxed’ made by New Zealand producer Josh 685. This song, which ranked 8th on the Hot 100 chart last week, is a remix version of BTS released on day 2, and the rankings have risen vertically. In the remix version, BTS digested not only English lyrics, but Korean lyrics as well, such as “Love can be an arrangement of emotions in the moment / conditions are all attached. What do I love?”
According to Billboard, this song was streamed 16 million times in the United States during the 100-count period (2-8 days) and 76,000 were downloaded. Likewise, from the 5th to the 11th of this month it was exposed to 70.6 million listeners. Billboard said, “Most of the music sales were driven by the remix version of BTS, and the total streaming volume was similarly split between the version that BTS participated in and the version that did not participate.” I was able to raise my name (to number 1 on the Hot 100). “
The agency’s Big Hit Entertainment said, “In the United States, the singer who participated in the collaboration is not only a supporter, but has sufficient responsibility and rights to the song. The influence, musicality, and popularity of the singers who participated in the collaboration are considered key success factors of the remixed song. “The bulletproof Boy Scouts said on Twitter that day:” Thank you so much for the unchanging love and concern of the ARMY “.
