Michigan State Council invited to the White House, etc.
Trump’s successive offensive
The president-elect of the United States, Joe Biden, said on the 19th (local time), pointing to President Donald Trump, who is struggling with the results of the presidential election, “I think it is completely irresponsible.” At a press conference that day, he said of President Trump that “a tremendously damaging message is being sent to the world about how democracy works.” He also criticized President Trump for inviting Republican leaders in the state of Michigan to the White House, saying: “It will be another incident in which he is listed as the most irresponsible president in the history of the United States.”
According to CNN, President Trump invited Republican lawmakers, including Senator Mike Sherkey of the Michigan State Congress and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Lee Chatfield, to the White House on the 20th. President Trump, who was defeated by 2.8 percentage points in the state of Michigan, the state of competition, is proceeding with an objection. In Michigan, if the results of the presidential election are not confirmed until the 23rd, the state legislature can choose an electoral body.
Trump’s private attorney, Rudy Giuliani, held a press conference on the same day and exposed conspiracy theories about the unfair election. However, they did not provide relevant evidence or mention content that turned out to be false. Giuliani argued that “the president has been the victim of a plan drawn up by dozens of Democratic election officials in major cities like Detroit, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, which gave Biden more votes.”
However, the analysis of President Trump’s last-minute reversal attempt is unlikely to be successful. This is because many of the lawsuits brought by Trump so far have been dismissed for lack of evidence and some state legislatures, including Pennsylvania, have declared that they will not intervene in the election. Additionally, another contestant, Georgia, announced that Biden’s lead was confirmed to be 12,284 votes ahead of President Trump as a result of counting the roughly 5 million votes by hand.
