AstraZeneca, a British pharmaceutical company that is jointly developing a COVID-19 vaccine with the University of Oxford, will also reveal the results of phase 3 clinical trials in a few days, Bloomberg News reported on the 17th (local time).

Analysts at financial information provider Jeffreys interviewed Mark Donner, AstraZeneca’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and AstraZeneca is known to announce interim results of phase III clinical trials in days or weeks.

AstraZeneca was initially scheduled to announce the results of the phase 3 clinical trial later this year.

AstraZeneca is currently in phase 3 clinical trials targeting 30,000 people around the world. “Currently, phase 3 clinical trials are progressing smoothly around the world and results can be expected,” said Chief Financial Officer Donoye.

This position from CFO Donoe suggests that AstraZeneca will release clinical results faster than originally expected.
